I want my wife to look like Sridevi

I dont post much these days unless I find it absolutely humorous and just to let you know not many things humor me anymore. I haven't blown my funny fuse yet, I've just set high expectations. Here is one web item that made me go 'WTF'

A weblink in tamilmatrimony to find you profiles similar to your favorite Tamil heroine. Here is the direct link: http://profile.tamilmatrimony.com/search/smartphotoform.php
NOTE: You can go under Hindi to search by Hindi Heroines etc.
NOTE NOTE: I am willing to bet most of our North Indian boys want to marry an Aishwarya Rai look-alike!

So I went ahead to fulfil my fantasy and searched by Illina since she is my secret fantasy girl. I wont publish the results here for legal reasons but I was impressed by some of the results that came back.

So the technology behind the facial recognition is pretty good. They seem to get some gals that seem to smile like Illina or have her eyes. I tried a search on Trisha and since I hate Trisha, I found the gals 'not so attractive'. LOL!

Alright read anything below this line with the warning that I have given a warning, it contains some obvious facts that might sicken the 'traditional' girls and guys but nevertheless has to be mentioned. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED:

What the hell is this about marrying a girl that looks close to the heroine you like? I think this is insane. Will the guy banging his Trisha look a like wife bang her thinking of Trisha in mind? So given that every heroine is slim and thin, will the results only bring back thin looking girls? Isnt that wrong? Every search for an Asin look like yielded fair colored girls within 30 yrs of age. That I think is a bad bias.

I'll let you all judge this. Frankly I am appalled at how our matrimony system works to the point that women are not only objectified but also classified by how close they resemble a celeb.

How the US elections have affected me

Before I begin, I have to tell you I didn't vote, ofcourse the point is I cannot vote since I am not a citizen, but I have to say this was one of the most lively elections ever with Sarah'yam' Palin and Barack 'muthu rack' Obama. (Non-tamil folks - my apologies).

It's amazing how much all those hours of flipping between CNN (biased) to Fox (fair and balanced) has influenced my life and the scary thing is, it's almost involuntary these days:
1) When I find my wife winning in an argument I become Bill O'Reilly-isque and go 'But...but...I gotta go, no...I gotta go'
2) Previous I used to set forth rules with her but now I listen to what she says with no 'pre-conditions'
3) I got upset the other day when Preetha came back home with a haircut that looked like Nancy Pelocsi. I was 'palinly' upset.
4) I've stopped pronouncing Pakisthan as 'Paekeestaen'
5) I think Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have gotten lame after the elections.
6) Hit up some of my old enemies since its not true that the notion that not talking to them is punishing them.
7) In my recent trip to India I asked 'Babu the Plumber' and 'Annamma the Spinach seller' if they were planning on running for a political position
8) Asked my Gujarati friend if his proximity to Pakisthan gave him an advantage or if he was palling around with them.

While I was immersed in US politics Dhoni was elected captain, Kumble and Ganguly retired and Suriya developed a 6 pack.

South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as

Incase you don't follow what she said (neither did I initially...)

She was asked, “Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can’t locate the U.S. on a world map. Why do you think this is?”

Miss South Carolina answered, “I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.”

I present you MY analysis of why she said something like this:

Most of the beauty pageants are asked questions about poverty, war, world hunger etc. Now an answer to a question like that would have been "We need to stop war in Iraq, prevent poverty in Asia...blah blah".
A question about maps would have been the last thing she expected.

Here is what your answer should have been Ms S Carolina, "
I personally believe that U.S. is the only map available on maps.yahoo.com and maps.google.com and Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps on other countries like South Africa, uh the Iraq and Asian countries so that we can build our future, for us"

And a follow-up of what she said later in an interview:
