Chocolate, God and Michael Jackson

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a great movie. The right people for the right roles.
Having said that, why does Willy Wonka look death pale? Reminded us of Michael Jackson! He invites 5 children to his 'chocolate factory'?!? hehe funny coincidence dont you think?..
Ok I just realized I am not the first to think of it that way...I saw a couple of reviews that already compare him to MJ.

So I'd rather compare Willy to God! He's all powerful, he punishes people at will and tells Charlie that inorder to 'join' him he must give up his family.

I've realized anyone can be God! If you have something that another person desparately needs or requires to get his job done, you're his god. If you were in dire straits and someone gave you helped you get out of the mess they are god too.

So having said described roughly what defines god, why are you required to 'sign up' to receive God's favor?

My devout mom says "Surrender yourself to god and he will help you". Well why should I? Why can't he just help me?
"Accept Jesus as your personal saviour and you will be helped" said one of my colleagues. Sure...but what is the membership fee?

If god is powerful and treats all 'human beings' alike, he will optimally help each and everyone of us. He will not allow a hard working person get fired from his or her job and struggle to support his family. He will not allow someone (infact this is my friend), who is completely devoted to him to just die on the roads.

Well to all of you believers I tell you, after you die, the eternal life you are looking forward to, the heaven/ hell stuff....doesn't exist.

When you die....you die...end of story!

200% true! I agree word to word... Don't know about Wonka or MJ cos I treat them as characters, but surrendering yourself is Bullshit!!
We have been taught that God is our father, doesn't father just do good for his children without expecting anything in return?

Pretty strong belief. I guess the believers in God also have equal reasons for their faith just like the atheists have reasons to not do so. :)
